You may or may not have applied for some or all of the covid-19 support packages, if you have the IRD may be looking into your application further to make sure you qualified for the payments.
The COVID-19 support products were introduced under a high trust model. Although there are integrity checks in place, there is also an expectation that only eligible people received support.
The IRD recently started focussed work on post payment verification for RSP, CSP and SBCS and have identified some customers who may not meet all the relevant eligibility criteria. Over 4 -7 October, a letter will be sent to IRD customers who may need to double-check their eligibility and let us know if they made a mistake.
If you think that you received a payment you were not eligible for, it may pay to declare it as soon as possible.
