The next chapter of CMK

31 July, 2020

Change, growth and development are constants in your Business and also in ours at CMK Chartered Accountants. Over the past ten years, CMK has been building the knowledge and the skills of our team, and have enjoyed the challenges of learning and growing together. With this in mind, it is time for the next chapter of our Business….

CMK Chartered Accountants are pleased to announce that we have appointed Sally Coombe, Anna Playle, Fiona Riddick, Glenn Adams and Melissa Cleaver as Client Partners. They will be directly responsible for our clients taxation and business affairs and all bring a range of skills and experience that leave them ideally placed to help you grow  and develop your Business.

We now have established offices in Hawera, Stratford and New Plymouth and our team has, and will, continue to grow. These appointments will give CMK the capacity, knowledge, passion and skills to ensure that our clients are able to make the most of their business opportunities.

I am sure most of you will already know Sally, Anna, Fiona, Glenn and Melissa, but for those of you who don’t here is a bit about them….

Sally has a strong interest in the dairy industry and applies her knowledge of the sector to assisting both her rural and commercial clients with their accounting needs. She loves problem solving and responding to her clients varied queries, and is passionate about helping her clients achieve their goals. Her focus is on financial planning and preparing budgets and forecasts for clients, along with completion of annual accounts and providing assistance to other staff.

As an equity partner in a dairy farm, she enjoys helping on the farm where possible and spending time with her young twin boys and husband Cameron.

Anna works with a range of clients across both business and the agricultural sectors, Anna provides accountancy and taxation advice and works alongside clients to produce forecasts and budgets. Anna particularly enjoys the challenge of developing and providing the right tools to help clients achieve their goals – building Excel budgets suitable for many of our dairy-farming and dry stock clients is just one example.

Anna is married to Chris and together they have two young children. When not working, she loves spending time with her family.

Originally from Limerick, Fiona became a Chartered Accountant in 2012 while working with CMK. She enjoys the challenge, variety and invaluable experience of working with a broad range of business and agricultural clients.
Her friendly and approachable style is only surpassed by her genuine delight in seeing clients work towards and achieve their goals. Fiona loves seeing clients move up business and dairy farming chains, helping them on a day-to-day basis with budgeting, cashflows and annual accounts.

She is kept busy outside of the office with a young and growing family, 50/50 sharemilking with her husband and a love of travel and shopping.

Glenn has been with CMK for close to 20 years. He enjoys working with a variety of agribusiness and farming clients, particularly the intricacies of the associated tax laws and livestock values. His friendly and easy-going nature allows him to work closely with his clients to minimise their compliance costs and understand their tax positions. On a daily basis, Glenn undertakes a multifaceted role, switching between client manager, file reviewer and trainer for other CMK employees.

Spending time with his wife and two children is his priority outside of work. Now the kids are old enough he enjoys getting out and about on his Honda Fireblade motorbike.

Melissa specialises in agri-business and loves getting out of the office to visit her clients on site! Since joining CMK in 2003, she has completed a Bachelor of Accountancy through Massey University and became a Chartered Accountant. On a daily basis she enjoys the interaction with her CMK colleagues and clients, completing financial statements and assisting clients with other matters such as budgets and finance applications.

Melissa owns a dairy farm with her husband in Matapu, milking 400 cows. They have two young children Hudson and Jayda. Much of Melissa’s spare time is spent being a Mum and helping on the farm. When Melissa gets a chance she enjoys a round of golf, a game of netball or coaching.
